After all I escape to sleep, exhilaration or art.

We all try to escape from something: a haunting memory that keeps you awake at night or a truth we want to hide away from. It’s hard to face the challenges of modern society and in order to cope we collectively developed a sense of escapism.

Reality appears blurry once it’s boundaries are hard to distinguish. Who can decide what’s real, when we all go to a secret realm in our sleep? Who am I to know whether I´m simultaneously experiencing reality as a blurred vision and a clear image?

In this series of paintings I attempted to visualise those aspects of perception and reality.
